Who we work with
Every roofer goes through the same checks before we send them a single homeowner.
Insurance on file
Current certificate of general liability insurance, rechecked on a schedule.
Real local business
A verifiable Dallas–Fort Worth–area business address and registered business entity.
Review history
We look at public reviews and complaint history before accepting a roofer.
Permits where required
Partners agree to pull permits the city or county requires for your job.
Written contracts
Partners agree to give homeowners a written contract and estimate.
No pressure tactics
Partners agree not to offer deductible waivers or rebates, or to act as your adjuster.
Texas has no state roofing license. Vetting reduces risk but is not a guarantee. Always review the contract before you sign.
A home you can feel good about
Your roof protects everything under it. We started Dallas Roof Match because finding someone you can trust shouldn't mean handing your phone number to a crowd of strangers.

How we vet roofers
- Insured: a current certificate of insurance on file before any referral.
- Registered: an active Texas business registration.
- Reputation checked: verified online reviews and a BBB check.
- Written estimates: every partner provides written estimates.
- No deductible waivers: partners must follow Texas law and never offer to waive or rebate your insurance deductible.
- Your feedback counts: we ask for homeowner feedback after every job and remove roofers who don't measure up.
Frequently asked questions
Is it really free? How do you make money?
Yes — homeowners pay nothing. Dallas Roof Match is free for you. The matched roofer pays us a referral fee for the introduction. That fee is not added to your estimate. Your information is shared only with that one matched roofer (and our service providers), not with other roofers or lead buyers.
How many roofers will contact me?
One. We match each request with a single vetted, insured roofer from our local network who serves your area. Your request goes only to that one matched roofer, never to multiple companies, so you won't be flooded with sales calls.
Why only one roofer?
Because it respects your time and your privacy. Your request goes to one vetted, insured local roofer, so you get one conversation instead of a flood of sales calls, and your information is shared with that one roofer only, never with multiple companies. The roofers we work with know each request is theirs alone, so they show up prepared, respond quickly and take your project seriously instead of racing competitors to the bottom. You're never obligated to hire them, and you're always free to get other estimates on your own.
How does matching work?
You submit a short form with your ZIP, project type and contact details, and you consent to one matched roofer contacting you. We rotate each lead fairly among active, insured partners who cover that ZIP. Only one partner receives each lead.
Are you a roofing company?
No. We are a referral service. We don't do roofing work, inspect roofs, or give quotes. You contract directly with the roofer, who is responsible for its work, pricing, permits and warranties.
Does Texas license roofers?
Texas does not issue a statewide roofing contractor license. Cities and counties may require permits and local registrations. Because of that gap, we vet partners for current general liability insurance, Texas business registration, a local address, and public review history before they receive leads. Vetting reduces risk but is not a guarantee — always get a written contract.
Can you help with my insurance claim?
No. We don't give insurance or claim advice, and we don't negotiate with insurers. Questions about your policy or claim should go to your insurance company or a licensed professional. Under Texas law (including Business & Commerce Code § 27.02), a roofer also can't act as your public adjuster or waive or rebate your deductible.
What does a roof replacement usually cost in this area?
Published local ranges for a typical asphalt-shingle replacement on a Houston- or DFW-area home often fall roughly in the mid four figures to low five figures for a standard roof, with metal and tile costing more. Exact price depends on roof size (measured in “squares”), pitch, tear-off, underlayment, and material. Treat any online range as a planning estimate — get a written quote after an on-site measure.
What are common signs of hail or storm damage?
Common signs include missing, creased or lifted shingles; round bruises or granule loss on shingles; dents in gutters, vents, downspouts or AC fins; granules collecting in gutters; and water stains on ceilings or in the attic. Stay off a wet or damaged roof and document what you can from the ground.
What does 'vetted' mean?
Before a roofer joins, we check proof of general liability insurance, a physical local business presence, its business registration, and its public review history. We recheck insurance on a regular schedule. Vetting is not a guarantee of work quality, so always get a written contract.
Do I have to hire the roofer?
No. You are never obligated to hire the roofer you're matched with. Get a written estimate, ask questions, and decide what's right for you.
How do I stop calls or texts?
Reply STOP to any text, or email [email protected]. We'll pass your opt-out on to the matched roofer.
